Thank you for your interest in joining St Joseph’s Outreach Services (SJOS) as a volunteer. We really appreciate that you are prepared to give up some of your time to assist in our outreach activities.
SJOS was established over 20 years ago as a volunteer run organisation focused on assisting the emergency relief needs of the vulnerable. Our mission is to provide transitional housing and support services to those in need regardless of race or creed and to work towards relieving the effects of poverty in our community.
Through our Food Store, Bread Bank and Harvest Garden programs, we want to assist all the marginalised and disadvantaged in the community. These programs are a constant source of help for over 13,000 individuals a year, and with your support we can continue to operate.
On this webpage you can find information on volunteering with us including the how to guides, recent newsletters, requirements and rules – including for the volunteer Working with Children Check (WWCC). You can also register your details on our new Better Impact Volunteer Rostering (BIVR) System, which will be launched in March 2023.
Whether as a Food Store, Bread Bank or Harvest Garden Volunteer, we welcome you and thank you.
