Self-Help Guide to Better Impact Volunteer Rostering (BIVR)

All available shifts for 2023 have been uploaded into the system. Follow the steps below to sign up a shift. You can select all shift you want to volunteer for between March and December 2023 - in advance.

Important: If you are unable to make a shift you have selected, please contact the SJOS Volunteer Coordinator on secretary@parishofsouthyarra.org.au at least 1 week before your shift.

Step 1

Log into the system using your credentials here: https://www.myimpactpage.com

 

Note: You may need to complete your personal details in your profile before proceeding

 

 

Step 2

Click on the ‘Opportunities’ tab and select ‘Opportunity List’

 

 

Step 3

Select the activity type you would like to sign up for.

 

For example: If you would like to sign up for a shift to pack bread on Thursday night, click ‘Packer’

 

 

Step 4

Scroll down to the date you would like to volunteer for and click the ‘Sign Up’ button.

 

For example: If you would like to sign up for a shift to pack bread on Thursday 23 February 2023, click the ‘Sign Up’ button on that row

 

Step 5

The line will update to ‘Scheduled – Confirmed’. This means your shift has been booked.

Click on ‘Back to Activity List’ to proceed selecting your next shift.

How to login

  1. Open your web browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, Explorer etc.) and type www.MyImpactPage.com in the address bar
  2. Type in your Username and Password and click the [Login] button (To learn how to reset your password or recover your username, click the 'Forgot your Password or Username' tab on the left to learn more.

You can log in to the Mobile site from your smartphone or tablet by typing www.MyImpactPage.mobi in the address bar of your browser. To learn how to navigate the mobile site, click the 'Navigating on the Mobile Site' tab on the left to learn more.

Update My Contact Information

Having this up to date all the time is really helpful. Thanks :)

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Contact Information” section
    • Name Fields: your username and full name
    • Address: your postal address
    • Email Addresses: your primary and secondary email addresses
    • Mobile Email Address (Please leave this blank) 
    • Phone Numbers: your telephone numbers
    • Online Presence: your Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram information
    • Misc Fields: your birth date and region (language) selection
  4. Click the [Save] button to save your changes

Update My Additional Information

It's easy and you won't need to do it often

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Additional Info” section
  4. This tab contains some fields for information beyond basic contact details. If more information is available on any particular field, you can click on the [Info] button displayed beside it to read it.
  5. Click the [Save] button
NOTE:

You might not be able to edit some items you see here.  If that is the case, it is because the administrator set it up so that you could see what is on file, but doesn’t want that information changed.

Upload My Profile Photo

This helps people get to know who you are sooner :)

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Contact Information” section
  4. In the upper right corner, you will see a summary of your name and address information. Above that are options for a profile photo (JPG, GIF or PNG file).
  5. To upload a photo:
    • Click the [Update Photo] button
  6. To remove your current photo:
    • Click the [Remove Photo] button

Change Your Password

It's easy :)

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Change Password” section
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Enter your new password and then a second time to ensure you’ve typed the way you think you did. Passwords are case sensitive.
  6. Click the [Change Password] button

IMPORTANT:

Password Requirements:

  • Must be at least 8 characters
  • Must have at least one uppercase
  • Must have at least one lowercase
  • Must have at least one number

Update My General Availability

We get it, this changes from time to time.

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Availability” section
  4. In this tab, you will be able to specify when you are generally available to volunteer. An administrator can use this information when determining who to assign to an activity or who to contact as new opportunities arise.
  5. Click the [Save] button

Update Your Interest

There are times when we search for volunteers based on this and we don't want to miss you!

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the MY PROFILE tab
  3. Click on the “Interests” section
  4. This tab contains the areas of interest set up for the organization. Check the box(es) beside the area(s) you are interested in. If more information is available on an area of interest, you can click on the [Info] button displayed beside it.
  5. Click the [Save] button

Signing Up for A Shift

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com
  2. Click on the OPPORTUNITIES tab
    • Looking to volunteer once on a specific day?
      • Select Opportunity Calendar. This page lets you find opportunities on a calendar to easily find activities on the days you are available to help.
    • Looking for a specific activity that isn’t showing on the calendar or occurs on a recurring pattern?
      • Select Opportunity List. Activities that don’t have specific dates or times aren’t able to be rendered on the calendar and there may also be some activities that are visible to you in the list, but not the calendar.

See Your Schedule

  1. Log on to MyVolunteerPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the SCHEDULE tab

Here’s a sample of what’s in the Schedule tab:

I want to print out a schedule to post on the fridge
  1. Log on to MyVolunteerPage.com (if you are not logged in already)
  2. Click on the SCHEDULE tab
  3. Scroll down to the “Monthly Calendar Schedule” section
  4. Select the appropriate “Paper Size” and “Start Date” for the monthly schedule report
  5. Click the [View Calendar] button (for an on-screen report) OR Click the [Download Calendar] (for an exported report)

How To Withdraw From An Shift

When you have signed up for something but have not been assigned

  1. Log on to MyImpactPage.com
  2. Click on the OPPORTUNITIES tab
  3. Filter the activities by whether or not you are already listed as Signed Up (available)
  4. Click the [Filter Activities] button to apply the filter
  5. Click on the link to the desired activity
  6. Click the [x Withdraw] button beside the desired shift.

NOTE: If you wish to withdraw from multiple shifts, you can check the box beside multiple shifts and click the [+ Withdraw from Selected] button below the list of shifts.

 

When you are assigned to something but you have not yet confirmed

  1. Log on to MyVolunteerPage.com
  2. Click on the SCHEDULE tab
  3. Click the [x Decline] button

When you are assigned to something and have confirmed you'll be there, however, you need to remove yourself 

To remove yourself from a confirmed shift, please contact the SJOS Volunteer Coordinator - Toni Stuart secretary@parishofsouthyarra.org.au - about not being able to fill this shift.

How to Login myimpactpage.mobi

  1. On your phone, tablet, or other mobile device, click on the My Impact app.
  2. Type in your username and Password and click the [Login] button.

Your Home Page

Once you have logged on, you’ll be greeted by name on your home page.

If you are assigned to something, you’ll see a reminder at the top of the page. If your organization has set up the feature, you may even be able to start a clock for your activity assignment from your mobile device.

A bit further down the home page, you may see:

  • a personal message from a member of the Volunteer Coordinator team
  • news and information for volunteers in your organization
  • a summary of your hours logged for the week, month, and year

Click on the [Menu] button in the top left to access the functionality of MyImpactPage.

Menu Options

From here, you can:

  • Close: close the menu
  • Home: return to the Home page
  • Opportunities: sign up for something
  • Schedule: view your assignments
  • Hours: log hours and view past logged hours
  • Connections: log a client encounter and view recent logged encounters if you are associated with a client of the organization
  • Contact: send an email and view client contact information if you are associated with clients
  • My Profile: view or edit your profile
  • Files: access files from your organizations document library
  • Go to the main site: switch to the non-mobile website
  • Log Out: log out from the volunteer portal

 
Your Profile

From the [My Profile] button, you’ll be able to:

  • Contact Information: update your name, address, telephone, and email information
  • Change Password: change your password
  • Update Photo: add / update your profile photo
  • Update Privacy Settings: specify whether or not volunteers can see your name in assignment lists
  • Update Text Messaging Settings: subscribe to text messages (if your organization uses this feature)
  • Goals: view / edit your hours goals
  • General Interests: view / edit items that are of interest to you
  • Availability: view / edit the days and times that you are generally available to volunteer
  • Qualifications: view / edit the qualifications section of your profile
  • Additional Info: view / edit the additional information section of your profile
  • Select a theme: if you belong to multiple organizations, select the color and branding scheme to apply to your interface

Reset your Password or Recover Your Username

  1. Click the “Forgot your username or password?” link on MyImpactPage.com
  2. Select “I forgot my password” and enter your username OR
  3. Select “I forgot my username” and enter your email address
  4. Click the [Send Email] button
  5. Check your email inbox
    • If you selected I forgot my password, click on the link in the email and click the [Reset my Password] button.  Check your email inbox again for your account details (username and temporary password).
    • If you selected I forgot my username, retrieve your username from the email.
  6. Visit www.myimpactpage.com and login using the credentials sent to you

IMPORTANT:

You will be required to update your password the first time you login after a password reset.
